In this project you will utilize your knowledge of portrait photography and create 5 images that illustrate the different types of portrait techniques. (Refer to the portrait powerpoint on the class website for reference.) Consider your classmates as models and help each other.
Choose any 5 of the following:
Alter your perspective
Play with eye contact
Looking off camera
Obscure the figure
Looking within the frame
Experiment with lighting
Shoot candidly
Get close (focus on one area)
Introduce a prop
REQUIREMENTS: You are to hand in at least 5 images that are named with the proper technique. •Out of the 5 photos above, at least 2 must be Black and white images •Out of the 5 photos listed above, at least 2 must be using the studio space in the classroom with two different lighting techniques mentioned but not all using the studio space. •Only ONE photo can be taken on your cell phone. (I will check and you will lose DRASTIC points). •Use Photoshop to enhance your images. •Watermark •To submit, you should create a folder within your block, each image should be labeled lastname_alterperspective.jpg, etc.
